What is Love?
I don’t have an answer for this, and I don’t think anyone does. It’s different for everyone but it’s beautiful to see how different people interpret it. Some of the ones that stood out to me:
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
A decision to keep choosing someone
Being understood and being a witness to someone else's life. The earth is so big and life feels so futile but intertwining your life with someone else and witnessing and appreciating their being makes the journey less lonely
It is so hard to describe... just a feeling
When you remember them every time you see a new shade of purple. or taste a cheesecake almost as good as the one you made together. hear a riff they would like in a van halen song you just discovered. buy a laundry detergent that smells just a bit like them, and get lost in thought when you fold your clothes thereafter. feel out of place in arms not quite as firm as his. when nothing new is ever the same anymore.
